  1. I am a senior in high school. Can I apply for this program?
    • Unfortunately, no. We accept applications in the spring of each school year for acceptance into
      the following school year’s program. At this time, we only accept students in high school.
  2. I don’t get straight A’s. Should I still apply?
    • Absolutely! We are not necessarily looking for straight A students. We are looking for students
      who set examples for their peers and who have the desire and potential to be leaders in their
      communities.
  3. I am nervous about the time commitment. How much time does the program actually require?
    • There are 12 two hour sessions throughout the course of the school year. Each session is held on
      a Thursday from 4:30pm-6:30pm. In addition, there is an Orientation session at the beginning of
      each school year and a Graduation ceremony at the end of each school year.
  4. I live in a Chicago suburb.  Am I still eligible to apply?
    • As long as you can arrive at the FBI Chicago Field Office by 4:30pm on Thursdays, you are eligible
      to apply.
  5. Where is the FBI Chicago Field Office located?
    • 2111 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608
  6. I am a U.S. Green Card holder/Legal Permanent resident. Am I eligible to apply?
    • Unfortunately, no. Only U.S. Citizens are eligible to be in the program.
  7. If I have questions about the program, who should I contact?
    • All questions regarding the program should be directed to [email protected]. Please do not call the FBI Chicago Field Office with questions.
  8. How much does it cost to participate in the program?
    • The program fee is $20 which is collected at Orientation. The program will assist students with
      financial hardships.
  9. I am a school administrator and would like to schedule a recruitment session at my school.
  10. I am unsure if law enforcement is for me? Should I apply?
    • Absolutely! The whole point of Exploring to learn more about what you want to do in life!
      Through the program, you’ll hear from all types of job roles in the FBI to include special agents,
      intelligence analysts, forensic accountants, public relations experts, and more! We have
      something for everyone.
